Interest-free commercial energy upgrades across Scotland

How interest-free energy upgrades work

From your first enquiry to installation by an MCS-certified partner — a simple, transparent process for Scottish businesses and farms.

1. Enquire

Fill in our short form or call 0141 230 0198. Tell us your property type, postcode and what you're interested in — solar PV, battery storage, a heat pump, or a combination.

2. No-obligation survey

We arrange a survey of your commercial property or farm at a time that suits you. We assess roof space, orientation, heating demand and how your business uses energy.

3. Written quote

You receive a clear written quote for a paid installation, including the interest-free finance available up to £30,000 subject to status, and the applicable VAT treatment.

4. Installation

If you choose to proceed, installation is carried out by our MCS-certified partner to recognised industry standards, with minimal disruption to your business.

A process built around Scottish commercial property

We arrange no-obligation surveys and quotes for paid installations across Scotland. Because every business and farm building is different — from a Glasgow retail unit to a Highland hotel to an Aberdeenshire dairy — we don't offer one-size-fits-all packages. Each quote is based on a proper survey of your property.

What happens at the survey

The survey is the most important step. A surveyor visits your commercial property or farm and assesses:

  • Available roof or ground space and its orientation
  • Any shading from neighbouring buildings, trees or terrain
  • Your current electricity usage and heating demand
  • The condition and type of your roof or plant room
  • Where battery storage or a heat pump would sit
  • Access for installation equipment and scaffolding if needed

For farm buildings, the survey also covers shed roofs, grain stores and parlours — these often have excellent roof area for solar PV. For rural businesses off the gas grid, the survey looks at where an air source heat pump could replace oil or LPG boilers.

Your written quote

After the survey you receive a written quote for a paid installation. The quote sets out the recommended technology, the system design, the installation by our MCS-certified partner, and the interest-up to £30,000, subject to status. It also shows the correct VAT treatment — 0% VAT applies to solar panels and batteries until 31 March 2027, and to air source heat pumps.

There is no obligation to proceed. If you decide to go ahead, the installation is scheduled at a time that minimises disruption to your business operations.

Installation by MCS-certified partners

We install through MCS-certified partners. The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is the recognised quality standard for small-scale renewable installations in the UK, and using an MCS-certified installer gives you confidence that the system is designed and fitted to industry standards.

Who we work with

We arrange surveys and quotes for businesses and farms only — not homeowners. That includes offices, workshops, shops, hotels, visitor centres, agricultural sheds, dairies, grain stores and rural commercial property anywhere in Scotland. If you're not sure whether your property qualifies, call us on 0141 230 0198 and we'll be happy to advise.
